The story of a shed

The trials and torment of building a studio in the garden

So what is this site about?

Simply, the ongoing saga (and history) of my studio project.

I will also be putting up images and videos - and sharing some of the work I produce in the Tea House - in due course.

It is also a currently a testbed for other sites and techniques.

Why the teahouse?

Why not! It is bigger than a shed, big enough to do most of what I want to do and of course I can make cups of tea in it.
But I had in mind the idea of the Japanese tea house (Chashitsu) - and there are some similarities - there are three rooms (although these do not quite correspond to the rooms in the traditional tea house), and it is made of natural materials - in this case, pine. And we at some stage were going to make the garden Japanese-inspired.
