OpenCalais (powered by Thomson Reuters) is an enabling technology for the semantic web (or Web 3.0 or something).
I will express an interest – at the time of writing I am employed by Thomson Reuters. However, I’m trying out the OpenCalais web server to get some idea of how it works, and more importantly, how sematically-rich content can be used to add value to what is otherwise a simple blog.
The teahousestudio blog already links with twitter and linked in – (along with Facebook, my main social networks). So apart from the linkedin tag on this post, all the other tags have been generated by the tagaroo plugin.
